East Baton Rouge Parish Republican Women East Baton Rouge Parish Republican Women is one of the State’s founding clubs. It is Baton Rouge’s first club, established in 1953. We are a fun-loving group of gals who work together to promote the ideals of patriotism and good government, while fervently supporting our Republican candidates.
The mission of EBRPRW is to honor our Judeo-Christian values, to educate the public on political conservative principles, to support our community, and to honor our Veterans.
While our main mission is to provide a forum for all women to participate in the political process on the national, state and local level, we also participate in serving our community through donations of time and money to organizations such as the Baton Rouge Area Food Bank, The Louisiana War Veterans Home, The Iris Domestic Violence Center, The Magnolia House, Louisiana Family Forum among others. Join us for our May Luncheon-Hillar Moore & Sid Gautreaux
District Attorney Hillar C. Moore, III, serves East Baton Rouge and the 19th Judicial Court from a people-first position that prioritizes public safety while modernizing prosecution practices for the welfare of everyone involved in criminal justice investigations. Drawing on over 40 years of experience with the legal system, Hillar Moore values collaboration at all levels to prevent crime, enhance public safety, and strengthen community infrastructure. Evidenced by his presence at every crime scene and open invitation to meet with citizens to hear their concerns, Hillar’s tireless work ethic and compassion for survivors guide his actions as a prosecutor, victim’s advocate, and public servant. Since taking office in 2009, Hillar has confronted complex, deeply rooted threats to children, women, and families, including domestic violence, sexual assault, and opioid addiction. Hillar Moore is in his third term as District Attorney. Sheriff Sid Gautreaux was sworn into office on December 4, 2007 after being elected to fill the unexpired term of Sheriff Elmer Litchfield. Gautreaux, who began his law enforcement career as a uniform patrol deputy in the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office, served as Police Chief of the City of Baker for 27 years before resigning to run for Sheriff. As Baker Police Chief, Gautreaux was elected to office seven times, and was unopposed for the last four terms. Sheriff Gautreaux was elected Sheriff on a platform of focusing priorities on uniform patrol and developing greater communications among the residents and communities the Sheriff's Office serves and with local, regional, state, and federal law enforcement agencies to help make East Baton Rouge Parish safer. In June of 2016, Sheriff Gautreaux was elected President of the Louisiana Sheriff's Association.
