General Membership Meeting was held on January 25, 2022. Speakers were TPSD Board Member Debi Benoit and Bubby Orgeron - Asst Superintendent.
Hurricane Ida hit Houma on August 29, 2022 and the surrounding area was dealt a hard blow. So many lives have been uprooted and so much damage is in the process of being repaired. General Membership Meetings were put on hold for us to have time to recover. This has been hard for so many.
April 11, 2023 6pm - Ellendale Country Club Jeff Landry, Candidate for Louisiana Governor We had over 120 in attendance at this meeting. Jeff Landry did a great job presenting his ideas to make things better in Louisiana. This was a very successful event.
March 25, 2023 3pm to 6pm - Bayou Sports Park Eggsperience Easter Event for Children in our Community - (Community Service) We had a tent with our banner "Houma Republican Women" and hosted fun games for the kids to play, decorating Easter Peep Bunny Rabbit Cookie Houses, and we had a nice Bunny and Balloons Back Drop for picture taking. Also we donated over 350 plastic eggs with candy for the Easter Egg Hunt. The kids loved our games and decorating the houses. (The only thing we were short on was volunteers - next year we will have to do better at getting volunteers from our club to come help out)

March 9, 2023 - 6pm - Plantation Inn - Coffee, Wine, & Politics Michael Lunsford with Citizens for a New Louisiana was our moderator Michael explained how Louisiana Elections are not broken. We had much discussion back and forth about what was good about Louisiana elections and what could be improved. It was explained about the type of voting machine that would be the best for validating exactly how voters voted. Our meeting was well attended by not only HRW Members, but also guests and most of the members of RPEC of Terrebonne
February 2, 2023 - 6pm - Copeland's Restaurant General Business Meeting and Installation of Officers - Judge Timothy Ellender Jr conducted the installation A motivational video was shown by Deb Simmons speaking about how we need to stay positive in these difficult times in our country.
March 29, 2022 - 6pm - Copeland's Restaurant Speaker: Past LA State Senator Elbert Guillory This is a joint meeting with our sister Republican Women's Club, Lafourche Parish Republican Women's Club. Senator Guillory is a strong conservative and he has been travelling across the state speaking at Republican Women's Club Meetings. He is a dynamic speaker that has much to say about where we have been and where we need to go as Conservative Republicans.
January 25, 2022 General Membership Meeting: We had Terrebonne Parish School Board Member, Debi Benoit and Asst Superintendent Bubby Oregeron as our Guest Speakers. They covered all aspects of how Hurricane Ida affected schools and gave a damage report. They addressed how some schools are sharing their schools with other schools.
They also addressed curriculum and how each grade school level is set up. They explained so much and were well received by our members. We did question them about monitoring CRT so it would not be allowed in our schools.
