About US

The Republican Professional Women of St. Tammany is an energetic group of working women, including teachers, doctors, lawyers, veterinarians, and researchers. The agendas of their meetings always include dynamic speakers ranging from statewide elected officials to white collar crime investigation to Cuban refugees who have made their new lives in America. Meetings often include a Constitutional Minute, an educational fact-filled talk about our country's Bill of Rights, constitution and its amendments. Our group is very involved in political activities and elections from the local level to the national level; proud to support the Northshore Young Republicans and St. Tammany Teen Age Republican (STTARs) clubs along with local community outreach programs such as Habitat, Operation We Care and Wounded War Heroes.

Attention Members: New Meeting Policy Due to recent developments, we have found it necessary to impose a new meeting policy for dinner meetings at our local restaurants. To be sure you have a seat at our meeting, please RSVP by the designated date and time included in your invites prior to meetings by either EVITE or e-mail. Please understand that most restaurants require a firm head count at least seven (7) days prior to our meeting. Should you RSVP and do not show up or send someone in your place, we will need to invoice you for the $35.00 dinner fee as RPWST has to pay the cost of same. In order to avoid being invoiced, please notify us one week prior to the meeting that you will be unable to attend. Please make checks payable to RPWST. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Our History

We have a long history in St. Tammany Parish as our club was the first Republican Women's Club, established in the Parish in 1963, and officially became part of the Louisiana Federation of Republican Women in 1966.

We are a small club in terms of numbers but we accomplish a great deal for the community. Membership does not mean that one is expected to commit major time but we are involved in supporting Republican candidates, keeping members informed as to what is occurring on the political scene, as well as contributing to the welfare and education of the children and citizens of Lacombe and this area.

Our Club meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month, not in June and July, at 1:00, (except on the third Tuesday in October and November) at the VFW Davis Moran Post 8290, 28000 Main St., Lacombe, LA, 70445.
